Frank Turner – Live in Cambridge

•August 10, 2011 • 2 Comments

Here are some images from a recent Frank Turner gig at a very unusual venue – St Paul’s Church in Cambridge. It was up close and personal with only about 200 people getting in to watch a brilliant show. I was introduced to Frank’s music by my son George who is an avid music fan.

You can check out a great review of this show on George’s music blog: George’s Rock Rambling’s. Whilst you are there have a look at the rest of George’s site and sign up for some great music news and reviews from a very talented young writer.

Suffolk

Suffolk is probably my favourite county – after Cornwall! It is easily within driving distance from where we live in Bishops Stortford so if we have a free weekend we will often go to Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Southwold for a mini break or a day out. Fish and Chips on the beach at Aldeburgh is always a highlight. Here are some images from a recent weekend away.

Cornwall 2011

•May 9, 2011 • Leave a Comment

It’s great to have personal projects and our annual visit to Cornwall gives me the chance of indulging myself a little bit, away from the day job. I would love to go Cornwall more often as I really do unwind and relax when I am there – something to consider for my retirement! For those that are planning on visiting Cornwall or recognise some of the locations, these images were taken at Gwithian, Constantine Bay, The Eden Project, Pendennis Castle, Kynance Cove, and Fistral Beach.

Camden Lock Market, London

If you haven’t yet been to Camden Lock Market in London, I would recommend a visit. It has a great mix of sights, sounds and smells! I have a great little lens in my bag – the Canon EF50mm f/1.8 and I used this on a recent visit to the market where there are plenty of opportunities for creative photography.
